The main factors affecting the stability of automotive connectors

The car connector consists of four components: contact, shell, insulator, and accessory. The four main components enable the car connector to act as a bridge and operate stably. Car connectors must comply with the USCAR-20 standard, which stipulates that the electrical contact surface of car connectors must always be reliable throughout their entire service life, including the following factors:

1、 The material of the connector contact is stable and reliable;

2、 Positive force stability;

3、 The voltage and current of the circuit are stable;

4、 The temperature requirement is within the specified range, including the surrounding temperature and the temperature rise of oneself;

5、 Good robustness;

6、 It must be the same as the connector used for high-speed long-distance communication computers, and the car connector must be able to work reliably under harsh conditions;

7、 Connector insertion force: below 20.5kg;

8、 Connector retention force: above 2.5kg;

9、 Heat resistance: -40~120 ℃.
